AplihsMD’s Virtual Rotation in Internal and Family Medicine offers an exceptional educational experience designed specifically for international medical students (IMGs) seeking clinical (INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT) exposure under the guidance of experienced U.S. physicians.This is not a passive shadowing program.
Instead, it offers an interactive, high-impact clinical immersion in cases designed to enhance your diagnostic skills, refine your patient management strategies, and designed specifically to prepare you for the challenges of the USMLE Step 3 and U.S. residency training. Upon completion, students will receive a one-month letter of recommendation (LOR) on an official letterhead.
Inpatient case discussions with up to 50 of the MOST COMMON cases seen in residency; including patient histories, physical findings, diagnostic procedures, lab review, differential diagnoses, management plans, clinical correlation etc.
You will create differential diagnoses, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and analyze labs and imaging, all while receiving direct mentorship and constructive feedback from board-certified internists and family physicians in the U.S.
You will develop essential clinical reasoning, communication skills, and professional maturity that program directors highly value. You will be engaging with our physicians on multiple pathophysiological/pharmacological topics through the course of the cases to strengthen your knowledge base.

Each student will be doing cases ONE-on-ONE with their own physician. Minimum requirement of 2 different physicians to pass the rotation!aduates.
